What Does 'True To Size' Mean?

At Ever Rose we typically don't define a standard size, simply because we know it can range so much from brand-to-brand. Instead, we'll put 'Fit Matters' notes on our clothing to help you understand when a garment fits a little bigger or smaller, or whether it has stretch that can give you some literal wiggle room. But of course, we have to base even those guidelines on something. So what does it mean when an item is listed as true to size? Motivation Monday: Do Something Different Challenge

Each Monday, we're rolling out a new challenge to change the way you think, act, do, or feel. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to be motivated to try something different for a week. And if you love it, keep it going!

This week, we encourage you to try something different every single day. That may sound obvious, since every Motivation Monday challenge is about doing things differently - but we're talking about all kinds of little shifts. Too often, we fall into habits and routines, to the point where our lives can become stale. Shaking up your routine even just a little can open you up to new things, put a spring in your step, and make you more ambitious.

Do Something Different, be different

These shifts don't have to be monumental changes. Try to pick something simple and attainable each day. For example, you could:

- Take a different route home from work
- Wear your hair differently
- Visit a store you've never been to before
- Cook a new recipe
- Tour a new neighbourhood
- Wear a brightly coloured lipstick
- Leave your phone at home for the day

There are a million and one little changes you can make to your life that could end up having a big impact. That's what Motivation Monday challenges are all about - and this week it's up to you to freestyle what you want to try out.

Housework is painful. We all know that. The mere concept of setting aside a day (or weekend) for spring cleaning can make even a neat freak feel weary. And for someone who's not so cleanliness inclined? It can feel downright insurmountable. But what if there was an easier way?

3 Tips for Day to Night Dressing

One of the things we emphasize at Ever Rose are carrying items we imagine you can wear for the different parts of your life. So we carry party dresses that could work anywhere from a backyard BBQ to a wedding. Or day dresses that could be gussied up for cocktails on the town with your friends. Or cute cardigans to guard you from the perils of your office AC that are equally practical for a weekend shopping trip.

Today, we're highlighting a few ways to take your favourite looks from day to night.

Motivation Monday: How Are You? Challenge

This week, we're challenging you to not ask anyone 'How are you?' (or any close variation of the question like 'How are you doing?')

Why? This question has become as commonplace as saying 'hello'. It's sort of a default way to greet people. But do you really want to be the conversational equivalent of an email auto-responder?
