Ever Rose Canadian Style Icon: Becky Kung
We're thrilled to put the spotlight on Becky Kung, author of fashion and travel blog Velvet & Vino. Based in Calgary but with a global perspective, Becky's blog is the epitome of taste! We love Becky's enviable approach to fashion that pairs current day trends with gorgeous staples with a twist.
We asked Becky to name some of her favourite pieces from Ever Rose, and she zeroed in on a bold choice - our gorgeous taffeta peacock blue midi skirt, the Belle of the Ball Skirt! In fact, just before hitting NYFW (so jealous!) Becky crafted an amazing blog post on how to rock a midi skirt - especially one in a stunning sapphire hue - all year long, including the chilly winter months.
Of course, we love picking out pieces for our Ever Rose Style Icons that we think would be right at home in their wardrobes.
Becky can often be seen sporting neutral hues - and for good reason. Classic tones like grey can go the extra mile in your wardrobe and easily be dressed up with a pop of colour or kept neutral for a classic work wear look. Emulate Becky's understated chic with the Had Me At Hello Dress.
When it comes to layering, Becky has serious style game, as she shows here! We adored the loose silhouette of the blouse she has on here - and for good reason; it reminds us of our effortlessly pretty Cherry on Top Blouse. We have no doubt Becky would find a million ways to remix this top - whether under a cool blazer or layered with a chic pencil skirt.
The LBD gets a super fierce upgrade with Becky's lacy take! Not only do we love the unexpected length, we adore how Becky styled this chic number with a fun moto jacket and sparkly clutch. If she wanted to add to her LBD wardrobe, we'd highly recommend the Perfectly Together Dress, which features a crinkled lace fabric and floral crochet hem.
We hope you loved checking out some of Becky's stylish choices as much as we did - we can't wait to see what look she's sharing (or what destination she's hitting) next on Velvet & Vino!
