What to Wear for Wedding Season Part 2: The Bridesmaids

We talked about some awesome Ever Rose picks to get all dressy for a shower (or even an engagement party), but what about your bridesmaids and their attire for the big day?

More and more often, brides are skipping the overpriced, unflattering, uncomfortable bridesmaids dresses at the bridal boutique and doing something more creative. For example, you can pick a colour scheme or key colour and ask your bridesmaids to hunt down a dress in that palette (as the bride, you can always ask to have sign off before buying).

Or you can scout a bridesmaid dress at a shop like Ever Rose and have your girls pay us a visit to order the dress in their size. Want to know if we can get more of a particular dress in, or another size? Feel free to contact us and ask.

And bridesmaids - if the bride is wedging you into something you aren't in love with, we've still got plenty of picks for you to rock at the rehearsal dinner, shower, or otherwise!

Our favourite picks for potential bridesmaids dresses? The Perfectly Together Dress ($77) is a great LBD that will work well past the wedding day. It's simple and elegant, allowing for all focus to be on the bride, but still provides a great canvas for accessories. For example, you could nab brightly coloured necklaces in your wedding colours to pop against the jewel neckline.

Another fantastic pick is the breezy Something Out of a Dream Dress ($65). The bright teal hue is a popular wedding palette shade right now, and the pleated chiffon skirt and floaty fabric makes it a perfect choice for summer weddings in particular.

Want to do something really unexpected but no less lovely? Get your girls into matching skirts with a formal feeling. Ever Rose now carries a collection of skirts, including some fun, iridescent styles like the It's My Party skirt above. Let the bridesmaids freestyle it up when it comes to the top, or scout out a sleek plain cotton tank that can tuck right in with ease. Separates are particularly awesome because your bridesmaids can remix them for years to come!

Stay tuned for more on our wedding style series - and feel free to tell us if you love a particular style for your upcoming wedding!
